16th Annual Alumni Game a success

This years Alumni match had a little different atmosphere due to some weather that came in bringing the match indoor. For the first time in 16 years, the match was a Futsal match. Alumni was represented from a wide variety of #lvsClasses starting with 2002 to 2019. Games consisted of 7v7 matches in the Hartnett Arena with 5 periods of 10 minutes each.

With the range of talent and ages on the floor, those 10 minute periods were just what the doctor ordered. Speaking of doctors, everyone came out of the match injury free. The final score saw the current LVS team edging out the Alumni 12-10.

LVS Head Coach, Jay Fitzgerald is in his 22nd year at Nolan and he mentioned, "I look forward to this event every year. Theses young ladies are my kids and the most rewarding part of this job is to see they transform and grow."

The Alumni game is always the last Saturday in December but next year based on the way the calendar falls, the match will be the first Saturday of the year. SAVE THE DATE for Saturday, January 2nd at 11:00am.
